It seems that the £1.5 billion plan for two major offshore wind farms to be built in the Thames Estuary have received the green light from the government.

The major of these two schemes is the London array and will be the worlds biggest wind farm when it is finished in 2011.

This is a great step forward for the UK and shows a real commitment to starting to tackle global warming!
