Tackling C02 Emissions
I was handed a great little advert for BP’s new Target Neutral website today. www.targetneutral.com is a site with the aim of reducing carbon emissions for the good of us all and the planet!
The project works by calculating the emissions you produce and then you can donate money to a fund that will work to neutralise those emissions. They state that the cost of “removing” one tonne is approximately €6.
BP are adding their weight to the scheme and state on their site..
“BP is behind targetneutral because they’re committed to taking action against CO2 emissions and educating the public about what they can do. Even BP’s fuel trucks in the UK are all CO2 neutral. BP makes no profit from the scheme.”
So what was the advert i hear you ask?

Well it was a very sweet little pack, that at first glance looks just like the old books of matches, but inside there are in fact 10 Heliopsis seeds (Dwarf Sunflower). Each seed is contained on a tiny wooden stake ready for planting. What a great little idea! - Ill be planting mine and seeing if they actually grow so watch this space!
9/10 for BP - losing 1 mark for producing the little pack on shiny non-recyclable card, so close!
