In an effort to further reduce our impact on the environment I am embarking on a campaign to get recycling bins provided for the residents in my street. We do not have road frontages and therefore it appears our recycling needs are not catered for, as we have communal rubbish chutes, where all and sundry get thrown in.

If we lived 50 feet closer to a main road we would be provided with our own recycling wheelie bins, as well as a rubbish collection scheme.

If you have spoken to your council recently I would like to hear from you to get a few useful pointers and make my case as solid as possible.
