Organic Peanut Farming
We’ve adopted a family of squirrels (or have they adopted us?) and have been hand feeding them peanuts and hazelnuts as well as providing them a source of fresh clean cold water which they are lapping up in the blazing sun.
Not all peanuts are munched and several hundred have been buried in and around the backyard/garden. This evening my wife discovered not 1 but 2 peanut plants growing in a pot alongside our Japanese Maple tree. These could only have been planted by Cyril (pictured next to the maple here)

Cyril and our Maple
We have transplanted the new seedlings to their own pots and will grow on and plant out on the garden as they get bigger.
Is our Cyril the Squirrel the first organic peanut farmer squirrel? Has he turned his hand to self-sufficient gardening practices?
What other surprises can we expect to find? Do they know of a moneytree source?
