Default Top tips for courgettes!

Did you know that the tops of courgette plants can be cut off and cooked when the plants cease production? Those tiny little courgettes and the tenderest of the centre leaves are delicious when lightly blanched and finished off in a frying pan with garlic, olive oil and lemon juice. (I like to cook them in some butter as well.)

Before you haul out the plants and put them in the compost bin/heap, cut off the tiny clusters at about 4" long and enjoy the plant's final flourish!
