Hi,
I'm currently doing a project for an eco friendly company as a fashion designer, I'm looking to source beads, sequins, zips, any sorts of fastenings really that are fairtrade, ceramic, clay or made from eco friendly produce or recycled products. I'm struggling to find things on google so just wondered if anyone has any ideas as I've never worked with an eco friendly company before. Ne ideas would be a massive help Thanks Lauren |

Off the top of my head, Lauren I would say that perhaps it would be easier for you to go down the re-cycled route.
Other than that, perhaps you would have to source such things overseas - e.g. Latin America or Africa for instance. I know that there are groups among poor people in these places (and others) that make amazing things from local resources. They also recycle things to make new objects - e.g. I have a really great shopping bag that was made from re-used juice cartons. I think it was make in the Philipenes. Good luck, Trwyncoch |

I'd agree - you need to find a company like this Handmade Fair trade sewing buttons and beads for all crafting purposes that will bring in fairly traded ceramic beads and that sort of thing...
