- Well worth a look
Loads of great recipies and all pretty simple to make. Would have give it 5 stars but it's not very practical to use in the kitchen because it's small and thick so difficult to keep a page open.
- best cookbook ever!
i absolutely love this cookbook! i'm obsessed. i've made the tofu curry and the mixed mushroom tart and both have been amazing! i want to marry louise pickford.
- Disappointing
The book is not very good and would not recommend it. It has a few good recipes but the rest are difficult or recipes that would be more suitable when you receive someone. I don't feel the recipes are for every day use. The only positive points are: the size of the book and the fact that it's colourful. But the rest is not goof to me.
Have given the book to a vegetarian friend but don't know what she thinks of it.
- Meat eater loves Veggies!
I am not a vegetarian, I like my bit of meat from time to time, but I also love veggies: they are so versatile and tasty!
This book is really a great addition to any kitchen, it includes lovely clearly explained recipes, the ingredients used are not outlandish and impossible to get and the taste! The taste is wonderful.
I just cooked the broad bean and dill pesto (refreshing with the zing of lemon), the aubergine dip and the leek and thyme sausages with relish, cheese and leek 'sausages' with a sweet red onion-cranberry relish. It was more a banquet than a simple everyday dinner, we all loved it!
Each recipe is accompanied by a gorgeous picture. The only thing I don't like is the grayish brown colour on the cover ;)
And it's also really cheap! Just try it.
- How to tempt an omnivore!
I'm not a vegetarian but I like a varied diet & wanted a vegetarian cookbook on my kitchen shelf. This one seems comprehensive & interesting with a good range of recipes - not just nut cutlet & salads!
I don't go for tofu so there are some dishes that I shan't try, but there's definately enough in this book to keep going with. It's well laid out, the photographs look tempting & all the ingredients seem easy to get from most supermarkets.
